Jon Wallace Homelite 55
Jon bought a 1963 Homelite 55 and a 1968 Bearcat 55 as a pair of project motors. He rebuilt the Homelite 55 using parts from us, and did a great job.
Upon startup Jon wrote:
"I fired it up! It warmed up and started running like a Swiss watch. Real nice sounding. No cloud of blue smoke (after initial start up of course). Revved up real fast. Responsive to carbs. All I did was let it warm up and adjusted the idle mix."
We need to checkup on Jon to see what status of the 1968 is...update....see 2nd pic below, she's up n runnin' too!
Jon with the 1963 Homelite 55 on the port side, 1968 Fisher Pierce Bearcat 55 on starboard side of pic. Notice that the cowl decal says Fisher Pierce Homelite 55, they kept the name for the first series of F model outboards....
